At Weight Control (operated by ByteMinds), we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

  • Weight entries: Your daily weight measurements, dates, and optional notes
  • User settings: Your goal weight, starting weight, and tracking preferences
  • Account information: Your name and email address from Google OAuth
  • Usage data: Basic information about how you interact with the app (no third-party analytics)
How We Use Your Data
  • To provide weight tracking and analysis features
  • To calculate your EWMA trend and progress metrics
  • To save your preferences and settings
  • We do NOT sell, share, or rent your personal data to third parties
  • We do NOT use your data for advertising purposes
Data Storage & Security
  • Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL database)
  • Row Level Security (RLS) ensures you can only access your own data
  • All connections use HTTPS encryption
  • Authentication is handled securely through Google OAuth
  • We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information
Third-Party Services
  • Google OAuth: Used for secure authentication. Google receives standard OAuth data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase: Our database and authentication provider. Data is stored in their secure infrastructure.
  • Cloudflare: Our hosting provider. They may collect standard web traffic data for security purposes.
Your Rights
  • Access: View all your data through the app at any time
  • Export: Download your weight history data
  • Deletion: Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Correction: Update or correct your information through the app

Data Retention & Contact
  • We retain your data until you delete your account
  • Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of Weight Control after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
